Greetings, my name is Martín de Jesús Martínez and I live and work in San Antonio Tx. I was born and raised here in the southside of San Antonio. My roots are in Guanajuato Mexico, from where my grandparents (paternal and maternal) immigrated. I am presently part of the pastoral team at the Mexican American Cultural Center (MACC) where I give pastoral workshops on faith, culture, and leadership. I am married with four children. I also play the squeezebox for a local Conjunto group called “Los Padrinos“. I also direct two choirs at my parish (English and Spanish). I am a product of Catholic education: St. James the Apostle School, St. Anthony High School, St. Edward’s University in Austin, and St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. And I LOVE conjunto music!! It is is true, Conjunto IS life.
